Eranthemum Nigrum

The Eranthemum nigrum is also known as Black Kodia.The subtropical climate is said to be the best for the growth of the plant.The plant is grown widely as an ornamental plant.The special feature of the plant is that it can grow anywhere. It has no specific requirements or conditions for growth.The plant produces attractive white flowers from summer to fall.

Nigrum Eranthemum is erect, open shrub, the stems sparsely branched unless pinched out at intervals when young. A rich mass of purple foliage adds an elegant dimension to the garden. Wonderful for contrasting with green or gold-foliage plants. Prefers some shade in hot climates. A great accent plant for containers on the porch or patio. The flowers of Black magic are borne on upright spikes. The 4-petaled white flower has a magenta throat, spreading outwards into speckles and dots.

Requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between watering.

Morning Sun & Evening shade. If grown in filtered light, leaves get larger and darker.

Any good potting mix. Use a container with good drainage.

Fertilizer
